Certain models are difficult to remove or attach from the base. The Doona Combo requires a two step process for attachment, as well as straps which cover the bottom of the infant carrier. It's tempting to skip these steps but it could result in unsafe outcomes.

In the same way some models are hard to fold and put away and store away, making them less convenient than others. The Graco FastAction 3-in-1 Car Seat Stroller, for example, is difficult to fold due to its large dimensions and heavy frame. The model also has a tiny canopy, which some testers are disappointed with. The Britax Parkway Combo Click and Go is simple to fold, with only a push of a button and pulling the lever. The only issue is that they're quite heavy and may be difficult to lift when carrying a baby in a car seat.

Easy to Assemble

Some car seat and stroller combinations can be difficult to put together. We discovered that the UPPAbaby Cruz v2 Combo was one of the easiest to put together, and it even includes a handy quick-start guide that makes putting this 2in1 travel system system together easy. Other models we looked at such as the UPPAbaby Minu, UPPAbaby Vista v2, Thule Urban Glide 2 and Baby Trend Snap-N-Go EX Universal were also easy to put together. The BOB Revolution Flex 3.0 Combo however is a bit difficult to put together. It requires two steps: attaching the lower anchors as well as using straps to cover the bottom of the carrier. It's heavy, which means it requires two people to secure the carrier into the base, and then to remove it.

In our tests, it took just 5 minutes to assemble the UPPAbaby Cruz v2. This is a simple procedure when you take into account the time saved by not having to take out each piece. The toddler seat can be put together and removed with ease on most of these models.
